Mayor

Description

The Mayor is in charge of the whole city. He gets to decide on economic and legal issues, as well as pretty much anything else related to the city and its citizens.

Duties

• Set taxes, laws, and perks for your city.


• Act as a judge in a court session, or appoint someone else if you are involved in the case.


• Give orders to police and firefighters.


• Occasionally host events such as a building contest, parade, or lottery to improve relations with your citizens.

Abilities & Items

• Lockdown Command - In an emergency, you may want to call a lockdown to warn citizens to stay indoors. You can do this by typing /lockdown in chat. To remove the lockdown, type /unlockdown.


• Lottery - You can hold a lottery that anyone can enter by typing /lottery [amount] in chat, with [amount] being the price of the lottery ticket. 75% of all money collected for the lottery will go to the winner, while 25% will go to the bank. The winner is selected and rewarded automatically after a set period of time.


• Mayor Menu - Used to set taxes, assign perks, and fire players who are under your command. Accessed by pressing F2 while not looking at a door.


• Parade Command - Lets the city know that a parade is starting by displaying a HUD message and playing music. To start a parade, type /parade in chat. To end a parade, type /endparade.


• Police Agenda - All police officers have an agenda that is displayed on the top left corner of their screen. You can enter text such as specific orders into the agenda by typing /agenda [text] in chat.


• Police Secretary - Government and police jobs have access to this NPC for spawning specialized vehicles.


• Purge Command - If you're unfamiliar with the movie, a purge is a government-sanctioned event where people are allowed to commit any crime they want, and the same is true here. To start a purge, type /purge in chat. To end the purge, type /endpurge. Please note that it's highly recommended that you get admin approval before doing this, just to prevent people from leaving the server prematurely.


• Radio - Allows you to broadcast your voice to all police officers and firefighters regardless of where they are on the map. You can toggle it by pressing walk + use key, or just walk if you are in a vehicle.


• Ammo Locker Benefits - Government and police jobs can purchase shotgun and taser ammo from ammo lockers. Money for all ammo purchases comes out of the city bank.


• Special Playermodel - Having a very high economic rating will grant you access to a special mayor playermodel that you can keep as long as the economy stays great.

Tips

• As head of the city, you will always have a target on your back. Depending on the amount of haters you have, you should consider arming yourself and having police protection when you are out of the office. Setting up a safe house that you can retreat to in an emergency is also recommended.


• While it's not against the rules to be corrupt, your actions may still have consequences. Citizens have the ability to vote you out of office, but that's far from the worst they can do.


• When you come up with new laws, you should post them somewhere they can be easily accessed, such as inside city hall. You can do this either by typing /advert [text] in chat to generate a billboard, or by using the 3D2D textscreen tool.

Police Chief

Description

The Police Chief is in charge of the entire police department. He gives orders to police officers and takes orders from the mayor.

Duties

• Take orders from the mayor, and give orders to other officers.


• Respond to emergency calls that citizens make.


• Enforce all default laws, and any laws set by the mayor.


• Provide security for the mayor when required.

• Fine Menu - Pressing F3 while looking at a player or vehicle will bring up a menu to fine the person or the vehicle's owner. If used on a vehicle, the owner will not be able to drive it until they accept or decline the payment. Declining a payment will automatically put an arrest warrant out.


• Fuel Discount - Government and police jobs pay less on fuel for their cars, as long as the mayor keeps sales tax below 50%.


• Police Secretary - Government and police jobs have access to this NPC for spawning specialized vehicles.

Police Officer

Description

The Police Officer is the base law enforcement job. They are responsible for patrolling the streets, responding to emergencies, arresting criminals, and keeping citizens safe. They take orders from the police chief or the mayor.

Duties

• Take orders from the police chief, or the mayor if there is no active police chief.


• Respond to emergency calls that citizens make.


• Enforce all default laws, and any laws set by the mayor.


• Provide security for the mayor when required.

Undercover Officer

Description

Undercover officers are tasked with collecting data on criminals by blending in with them. Collecting enough data and evidence could eventually lead to a raid and/or arrest.

Duties

• Take orders from the police chief, or the mayor if there is no active police chief.


• Act like a normal citizen to get close to criminals and help get them arrested.


• Patrol the streets and assist your fellow officers on calls if you are not on any other job.

Tips

• When selecting this job, other players will not be notified, and your job title in the scoreboard will be displayed as "Citizen". Use this to your advantage by tricking criminals into thinking you're one of them.

Fire Chief

Description

The Fire Chief is in charge of all other firefighters. They decide strategies such as the safest way to extinguish a fire, and blocking off areas to protect the public from dangers.

Duties

• Command firefighters.


• Develop strategies to safely fight fires and respond to medical emergencies.

Abilities & Items

• Experimental Steroid - Special health item that can be purchased exclusively by the fire chief at the healer NPC.


• Default Weapons - Axe, Defibrillator, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Hose, Medkit, Narcan


• Firefighter NPC - Firefighters can access the fighter NPC for spawning fire trucks, ambulances, and a few other emergency vehicles.


• Fire Hose Node - Can be purchased by firefighters from the F4 menu for extending the range of the fire hose.


• Fire Immunity - Firefighters do not take any burn damage.


• Radio - Allows you to broadcast your voice to all police officers and firefighters regardless of where they are on the map. You can toggle it by pressing walk + use key, or just walk if you are in a vehicle.

Tips

• If there is nothing going on, you can setup a training facility for you and your firefighters to practice on.

Firefighter

Description

Firefighters respond to emergency calls concerning fires and medical emergencies. They take orders from the fire chief.

Duties

• Take orders from the fire chief.


• Extinguish fires.


• Heal injured players, revive dead players, and administer narcan to players who have overdosed.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - Axe, Defibrillator, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Hose, Medkit, Narcan

Detective

Description

Detectives have two ways to do their job. One way is to work with Law Enforcement to solve crimes and bring people to justice. The other way is to be hired as a private investigator to look into civil matters that the police won't deal with.

Duties

• Be hired by a government official or civilian to help solve a case.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - Handheld Metal Detector, Lockpick, Raging Bull, Shackles


• Evidence - Evidence items will drop when a player is killed if a detective is on the server. You can investigate these items to view information about the killing. The specific information provided depends on what perks the mayor currently has active.

Tips

• Much like a lawyer, you should keep sensitive information between you and your client. Otherwise, people may lose trust in you.


• You might spawn with a lockpick and shackles to help with your investigation, but keep in mind that getting caught using them without police permission could result in you getting arrested.

Mechanic

Description

Mechanics have the ability to tow and repair vehicles that are broken down, crashed, or illegally parked. They can also rent out cars to other players and sell cars via the car dealer NPC.

Duties

• Respond to calls about a crashed or broken down vehicle, and either tow them away to get repaired or repair them on site.


• Patrol the streets looking for illegally parked cars to tow away or fine.


• Rent out vehicles to players.

Abilities & Items

• Car Bomb Protection - Item exclusive to the mechanic that can be purchased from the F4 menu. Prevents car bombs from ever being placed on a vehicle.


• Default Weapons - Flatbed Controller, Fuel Can, Pickaxe, Tow Hook, Vehicle Management Tool, Vehicle Repair Tool


• Fine Menu - You can add fines to vehicles for illegal parking by pressing F3 while looking at a vehicle, but you cannot fine players themselves like the police.


• Tow Truck NPC - Allows you to spawn both the flatbed and hook tow trucks.


• Vehicle Rentals - You have access to a submenu in the car dealer that allows you to rent out certain vehicles to players, as well as sell other players' vehicles back to the car dealer.

Tips

• It's recommended that you adjust your charges according to distance towed and what percentage of vehicle health you had to restore.

News Reporter

Description

The news reporter goes around the city broadcasting any events that go down. These events can be anything the reporter can find, such as a simple opportunity to interview the mayor, or something major such as a shootout.

Duties

• Walk around with your camera recording and reporting on events that happen around the city.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - News Camera


• News Van - You can spawn a free news van at the car dealer.


• Passive Income - You will receive $50 every 3 minutes for every news TV on the map that is tuned to your channel.

Tips

• You should try to get in on as much action as possible, but be mindful that not everyone will like you being there.


• When you are not on the streets broadcasting, you could set up a news station and have more staff. This way you can have interviews and indoor news broadcasts, such as reporting a past event or the weather.

Hitman

Description

Hitmen earn money by taking hits from other players. To request a hit, walk up to a hitman and press your use key. You can then enter the player you want dead and the price you are paying. If the hitman has a hit that he is currently on the job for, other hits cannot be placed. You can also earn extra money as a hitman by acting as a bounty hunter for government officials and getting paid to capture wanted players. Please note that as a hitman, you must supply your own weapons.

Duties

• Complete hits that other players order.


• Take bounties for government officials and capture wanted criminals.

Abilities & Items

• Hit Menu - Players can walk up to you and press their use key to order a hit. The system will keep track of the hit, and you will automatically get paid as soon as the hit is completed.

Tips

• As stated above, you must supply your own weapons. Having a good relationship with a gun dealer could make things a lot easier.


• Be aware that you and/or the person who hired you can be arrested for a hit depending on the current laws.

Banker

Description

Bankers hand out loans and store money in deposit boxes to collect interest from other players. They are also the first line of defense for protecting the city bank vault.

Duties

• Protect ATMs and the city vault from robbers and report any suspicious activity to police.


• Deposit money for players.


• Hand out loans to players through the bank computer.

Abilities & Items

• Bank Computer - Allows you to manage deposit boxes and hand out loans to people.


• Passive Income - Depending on interest rates set by certain mayor perks, you will occasionally receive a certain amount of money for each deposit box that is currently filled.

Gun Dealer

Description

Gun dealers provide citizens with a faster (but more expensive) alternative to crafting higher-tier weapons through shipments.

Duties

• Buy, sell, and craft a wide variety of weapons.

Abilities & Items

• Crafting Discount - All crafting items that require 4 or more iron, or 2 or more wrenches, require half of what they normally do.


• Weapon Shipment - Crate of weapons that can be purchased from the F4 menu. You can configure the crate after purchase by pressing your use key on it.

Tips

• While you have the ability to buy and sell any non-explosive weapon, the mayor might make some or all of these weapons illegal. It is recommended you follow the law and only sell legal weapons or else you might lose business.

Cook

Description

The cook's responsibility to feed everyone in the city. You can spawn food from the F4 menu, cook pizza with your oven, cook caught fish on your stove, or sell freshly grown farm food.

Duties

• Serve players food through delivery, drive-thru, or a walk-in restaurant.

Abilities & Items

• Cooking Stove - Cooks fish that you catch. Purchased from the F4 menu.


• Fridge - Contains all of the ingredients for making a pizza. Purchased from the F4 menu.


• Keg - Creates drinks with unique effects by combining farm food. Purchased from the F4 menu.


• Microwave - Allows players to serve themselves food when you aren't around. Purchased from the F4 menu.


• Pizza Oven - Cooks an assembled pizza. Purchased from the F4 menu.


• Seed Discount - Seeds purchased at the supermarket are 50% off for the cook.

Tips

• It's recommended that you have a microwave set outside when your restaurant is closed so people can still get food when they need it. Just remember to secure it so people can't steal it.


• When fishing, keep in mind that you cannot sell your fish to the NPC. Instead, you must cook the fish and sell it to other players.

Bus Driver

Description

The bus driver's duty is just as the name suggests: to drive buses and transport people to their destination. To spawn your bus, go to the car dealer where you would spawn a normal car.

Duties

• Drive your bus around and make a profit off of transporting people.

Abilities & Items

• Bus - You can spawn a city bus for free at the car dealer.

Tips

• You should plan out a route to drive so people know when and where you will be stopping, and you should only make stops in areas where people frequently need to go.


• Consider making your prices low and equal for all players. This will increase your chances of getting passengers.

Citizen

Description

The Citizen is the base job and has no salary, intended for people who don't want to hold a job or want to do freelance/contract work.

Duties

• Citizens have no set duties since they are not as focused as other jobs, but to give you an idea of what they can do, here are some examples: Mining ores for cash, mining iron for crafting, farming for cash, farming for health, money printing, making drugs for personal use, making drugs for cash, running a business to sell items to players, logging for cash, logging for crafting, robbing ATMs, robbing the city bank, mugging players for cash, fishing, blackmailing, and selling stolen cars to the mechanic.
