Citizen

Description

The citizen is a normal resident of City 17. They can either be loyal to the Combine or work to fight them.

Duties

• Take your rations every day from the plaza food distributor.


• (Optional) Craft weapons and gather other citizens together to build a rebellion and fight back against the Combine.


• (Optional) Remain loyal to the Combine and do work for them such as mining and discovering rebel hideouts.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - Pickaxe


• F3 Menu Items - Rebel Crafting Table (75% loyalty or less required)


• Rations - Citizens have access to ration dispensers around the city.

Tips

• Starting out, you will be 100% loyal to the Combine. You can reduce your loyalty by attacking Combine units and mining. Keep in mind however, that the Combine can forcefully bring it back up by beating you with a stunstick, killing you, or arresting you.

Resistance Leader

Description

The resistance leader is in charge of commanding the rebel force. It is their duty to recruit any citizens who are looking to fight the Combine, and to help supply them with the proper equipment. Citizens can only become Resistance Leaders if they have 25% loyalty or less.

Duties

• Recruit citizens who are looking to rebel against the Combine.


• Supply rebels with weapons, ammo, and other items that can help them raid the citadel.

Tips

• It's highly recommended that you stay out of sight to avoid being captured. If you do have to go outside though, make sure you have a large security escort, or at least have a disguise on.

Scientist

Description

As a scientist, you can choose to work for either the Combine or rebels (or both if you can manage to pull it off). Your task is to help either side develop special items or abilities.

Duties

• Help the Combine research and develop advanced weapons and units through the science locker.


• Help the rebels develop a decryption device to be used on the detonation console at the top of the citadel.

• Science Locker - Scientists can use this locker to research items and jobs for the Combine.

Vortigaunt

Description

The vortigaunt is an alien species that has been enslaved by the Combine alongside humanity. Vorts are able to shoot fatal amounts of electricity from their hands and are very strong, allowing them to do things faster and easier compared to humans. By default, Vorts are under the rule of the Combine, but can be put under rebel command if given the opportunity.

Duties

• Follow orders from either the Combine or rebels.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - Vortigaunt Beam, Pickaxe


• Faster Mining - Vorts can mine faster than humans due to their strength.

Government Man

Description

The Government Man for City 17 RP works like a spy. He can choose a side (Combine or rebels) and help them by giving them advantages such as hidden base locations and attack plans. The Government Man can take two sides at once if he pleases.

Duties

• Give either the Combine, Rebels, or both teams advantages by giving away secrets and base locations.

Tips

• If you decide to help out both sides, try not to give away too much info about each side; it might result in you being killed for spying.

Cremator

Description

The Cremator, much like the HECU in BMRP, are to only be used for dire circumstances that Combine forces cannot handle alone. Cremators are equipped with flamethrowers, a very effective tool especially against the undead. This is a special job that needs to be researched by a scientist to unlock.

Duties

• Assist other units as needed.


• Contain any and all outbreaks.

Metrocop

Description

Metrocops units are unmodified humans who have decided to join the ranks of the Combine. They mainly patrol apartment blocks and low-security checkpoints, and they take orders from all other Combine units.

Duties

• Keep the city safe from any threats.


• Follow orders from all other Combine roles.


• Set up checkpoints in high traffic areas so citizens have to show an ID before passing through.

• Default Weapons - Combine authorization tool, Flare gun, handcuffs, pistol, stunstick.

Overwatch Soldier

Description

Overwatch Soldiers are the lowest level of trans-human units. Unlike Metrocops, Overwatch Soldiers take on a more militaristic role and see much more action, but also longer periods of inactivity. When raiding rebel bases, these units are typically on the front lines. This role does not unlock until the resistance has built up enough.

Duties

• Follow orders from Elites and Earth's Administrator.


• Help raid known rebel bases and assist other units in firefights.

• Default Weapons - Combine authorization tool, Flare gun, Frag grenade, handcuffs, SMG.

Overwatch Guard

Description

Overwatch Guards are in charge of defending and restricting access to the Citadel and any other places that may need to have a constant Combine presence. This role does not unlock until the resistance has built up enough.

Duties

• Follow orders from Elites and Earth's Administrator.


• Protect all restricted areas that are under Combine control, but mainly the Citadel.


• Act as a field medic if necessary.

• Default Weapons - Binoculars, Combine authorization tool, Frag grenade, handcuffs, Med kit, Sniper rifle.

Overwatch Elite

Description

The Overwatch elite, as the name implies, is the most elite unit of the trans-human army. Their humanity has been completely stripped away and what remains is a ruthless killing machine. These units are designed to be frontline soldiers in the worst environments imaginable. This is a special job that needs to be researched by a scientist to unlock.

Duties

• Assist Overwatch Soldiers in firefights if needed.


• Protect highly sensitive parts of the Citadel, as well as the Earth Admin's office if he requests it.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - AR2, Combine authorization tool, Frag grenade, handcuffs.


• F3 Menu Items - Various low-quantity weapon shipments.

Tips

• You should only setup your weapon shipments in highly secured areas to prevent them from falling into rebel hands.

Earth's Administrator

Descripton

Earth's Administrator is the former head of Black Mesa, and later named Earth's Admin and humanity's representative under Combine occupation. He lives at the top of the Citadel and commands all human and trans-human units of the Combine.

Duties

• Keep City 17 in order and command all Combine units.


• Make city-wide announcements to gain loyalty and inform citizens of important things.

Abilities & Items

• Default Weapons - Combine authorization tool, handcuffs.


• F3 Menu Items - Various high-quantity weapon shipments, Combine crafting table.

Tips

• Do not leave the Citadel without an escort to avoid being captured or killed.


• You should only setup your weapon shipments in highly secured areas to prevent them from falling into rebel hands.
